Richard Khanlian is a professional photographer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, specializing in fine art, documentary, travel, editorial and stock photography.
His photographic career began in the 1960’s, as a feature photographer for the New York Times International Edition in Paris. Over the ensuing years, he maintained a continuous freelance involvement in photography, while also working as a writer/editor and teaching in a community college. A skilled film photographer and custom black-and-white printer, Khanlian now works almost exclusively in the digital process, producing archival pigment ink prints for exhibition and high-resolution digital files for reproduction. He also teaches workshops and does individual tutoring in digital photography and image processing. Khanlian’s photos have appeared in The New York Times, Der Spiegel, The Albuquerque Journal, The Albuquerque Tribune, The Santa Fe New Mexican, New Mexico Magazine, Guest Life New Mexico, and other publications. His prints have been exhibited at The Museum of New Mexico and at other galleries and venues in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. He is a chapter board member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). I am loving living in Italy. It really doesn't get much better than this although as you say Santa Fe is still one of the better places to be these days.. I hope to see you one day here in Tuscany.. if you know of anybody interested in taking a great photo workshop send them my way....the area where I am living is a photographers paradise; between the great food, wine and hilltop villages etc. etc... all the best DH
